Category I (under 10 years)
Maximum duration: 10 minutes
Free programme which include a minimum of two contrasting works. Programme must include one piece by Russian composer.
Category II (11 – 13 years)
Maximum duration: 15 minutes
Free programme which include a minimum of two contrasting works. Programme must include one piece by Russian composer, preferentially by Sergei Rachmaninov.
Category III (14 – 17 years)
Maximum duration: 25 minutes
The performance must include:
a) 1st movement from a piano sonata by Clementi, Mozart, Haydn, Beethoven, Schubert
b) Two or more contrasting piano solo works including an Etude or virtuoso piece.
Programme must include one or more works by Sergei Rachmaninov
Category IV (18-25 years)
1. 1st movement from a classical sonata by Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven or Schubert.
2. A virtuoso work.
Total duration of the performance should not exceed 15 minutes.
Free programme contrasting piano solo works by different composers including one or more pieces by Sergei Rachmaninov. Total duration of the performance should be min 30 minute max. 40 minute. Works from the First Round can not be included in the Final program.
For all categories playing by memory is mandatory.
Participants are responsible for compliance with the requirements for the repertoire.
The performance of the participant can be stopped by the jury at any time.
The Organizing Committee reserves the right to record and broadcast the participant on radio and television.
Participation of all laureates in the ceremony of awarding prizes and in the final concert is mandatory.
The directorate of competition will provide rehearsals at the concert hall.
