The new season in Sverdlovsk Philharmony is named after Rachmaninoff

Almost half of the 37 subscriptions included in Sverdlovsk Philharmony’s new season will feature some of Rachmaninoff’s music. One of the shows will be composed entirely of Sergey Rachmaninoff’s works.

The season will run from September 2022 to June 2023. The Rachmaninoff Festival is to be held in the spring culminating right before the 150th anniversary of the great Russian composer.

In the upcoming season, citizens of the Ural capital will see some outstanding performers, including Vladimir Spivakov, People’s Artist of the USSR, and Moscow Virtuosi State Chamber Orchestra, Pavel Kogan, People’s Artist of Russia, and Moscow State Symphony Orchestra, Hibla Gerzmava, People’s Artist of Russia (soprano), Alexander Gindin, Merited Artist of the Russian Federation (piano), French pianist Lucas Debargue, etc.
