Russian National Museum of Music celebrates its 110 years
On March 24 the Russian National Museum of Music – the Rachmaninov Competition’s friend and partner – celebrates 110 years since its foundation. One of the most important cultural institutions in Russia is the curator of a unique heritage. Its collection contains more than a million exhibits: rare musical instruments, publications, and recordings, the richest archive, including personal funds of great Russian composers (Rachmaninoff, Tchaikovsky, Borodin, Shostakovich, Prokofiev, and others).
We thank the Russian National Museum of Music for their support of the Rachmaninoff International Competition for Pianists, Composers and Conductors. We are confident this partnership will develop in the nearest future.
We congratulate our friends on their anniversary and wish the Museum of Music new bright projects and dynamic development!
