«Music by Rachmaninoff captivates you right away…»

In the year of the 150th anniversary of the great Russian composer, the marathon My Rachmaninoff is being held in the regions of our country.

Laureate of the III All-Russian Music Competition and the XVII International Tchaikovsky Competition pianist Stanislav Korchagin:

“For me, this is a real “musical offering” – Rachmaninoff as a pianist and as a composer has always been an absolute reference point in music for me, and I am happy that the marathon gave me the opportunity to embody my admiration and reverence to the great Sergei Vasilyevich. I like absolutely all of his works without exception, but probably the cycle of 13 preludes opus 32 and the First Piano Sonata occupy a special place in my mind and soul.

The genius of Rachmaninoff can be explained by the unique ability of his music to penetrate right to the heart and immediately captivate anyone. I would like to wish our listeners that Rachmaninoff’s music, having come into their lives during the marathon, would never leave them.”

In October, concerts with the participation of Stanislav Korchagin took place in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Vladivostok, Blagoveshchensk, Zarechny, Alapaevsk, and Irbit.

The All-Russian cultural project – the marathon My Rachmaninoff was organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the ANO “Novy Vek” in concurrence with the Federal State Budgetary Institution ROSCONCERT.
