The II International Rachmaninoff Competition Broadcasts Garner Nearly 10 Million Views!

This year the competition was followed closely by thousands of in-person attendees and millions of online viewers. 

The broadcasts of the II International Rachmaninoff Competition for Pianists, Composers, and Conductors have reached nearly 10 million views from audiences in 75 countries around the world — including Russia, Austria, Australia, Azerbaijan, Albania, Argentina, Armenia, Belarus, Belgium, Bulgaria, Bolivia, Brazil, Hungary, Venezuela, Vietnam, the United Kingdom, Germany, Greece, Georgia, Hong Kong, Denmark, Israel, India, Indonesia, Iran, Ireland, Spain, Italy, Kazakhstan, Canada, China, Colombia, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, Moldova, Mongolia, Myanmar, the Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand, the UAE, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, North Macedonia, the United States, Taiwan, Thailand, Tajikistan, Turkey, Uruguay, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, the Philippines, Finland, France, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Chile, Switzerland, Sweden, Ecuador, Estonia, South Africa, South Korea, and Japan. More than 25,000 social media comments accompanied the competition’s news and broadcasts.

A total of 65 musicians from 16 countries took part in the competition. The jury included prominent figures from the cultural world, representing Russia, Australia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Vietnam, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Germany, Spain, Romania, France, the United States, Japan, China, and South Korea.

The II International Rachmaninoff Competition took place in Moscow from June 14 to 26. The III International Rachmaninoff Competition for Pianists, Composers, and Conductors will be held in 2029.
