The special project «Visiting Rachmaninoff»

In the lead-up to the II Rachmaninoff International Competition for Pianists, Composers, and Conductors, a special cultural and educational online project, Visiting Rachmaninoff, is being launched in partnership with the Russian National Museum of Music.

This cultural and educational initiative brings audiences closer to Rachmaninoff through his most meaningful personal belongings.

Visiting Rachmaninoff is a video series dedicated to authentic objects that once held the touch of the composer’s hand. These items are housed in the Museum of Music and the Rachmaninoff House in Moscow. Laureates of the first Rachmaninoff International Competition share their thoughts and emotional responses to these encounters.

Instead of simply showing artifacts, the project brings history to life. With the thoughtful use of artificial intelligence, the series recreates the world in which Sergei Vasilyevich lived and worked—and invites viewers to step inside it.

The series serves as an inspiring prelude to the II International Competition. It offers a reminder of the rich legacy that the competition seeks to honor and expand.

The project is supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and ROSCONCERT.

Follow the updates and don’t miss the premiere of Visiting Rachmaninoff!
